College Volleyball: Centralia Outlasts South Puget Sound in Five Sets

OLYMPIA — Centralia won the first two sets but needed all five sets to take down South Puget Sound 3-2 in an NWAC West Region volleyball match here on Friday night.
Centralia won the first two sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-16. South Puget Sound rallied in the third and fourth sets with scores of 25-21 and 25-20. The Lady Blazers regrouped for the fifth set and won 15-9.
Centralia’s Autumn Durand had a team-high 20 kills and added three digs. Kary Sathre added 11 kills and five digs and Taviana Keahey and Tianna Hanohano each recorded 10 kills. Peyton Timmons tallied 53 assists for the Lady Blazers.
Centralia (10-15, 3-4) travels to Longview on Wednesday to take on Lower Columbia in a West Region game.
