Centralia first responders, making up the team Guns & Hoses, played the United States Military All-Star team in a charity softball game Tuesday evening at Borst Park. Money raised through sponsorships was donated to the All-Star team to help fund their travel.

Centralia Police Department Sgt. Buddy Croy said the All-Stars won handily with a final score of 16-3, marking the second victory for the All-Stars against Guns & Hoses after their previous game about four years prior.

“We gave it a good go. It was fun, it was a good time. We got to honor a couple of WWII veterans at the beginning of it. It was just all around a good time,” said Croy.

The Centralia Police Officers Association wrangled sponsors for the free event, with CFAC Auto Center in Chehalis being the largest contributor.
