Five Local Players Make All-State Volleyball Roster

Five local athletes were named to the 2B and 2A All-State Volleyball teams as announced by the Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday.
In the 2B ranks, Mossyrock junior Andee Nelson was named a first team outside hitter. Nelson was named The Chronicle’s All-Area MVP and was a All-League first team selection, leading the Vikings back to the state title game for the third consecutive season. Nelson compiled 29 aces, 37 assists, 228 kills and 243 digs in 2018.
Morton-White Pass senior Carly King was named a first team setter. King was also on the All-Area team and first team all league honors, totaling 560 assists, 120 kills and 48 aces while serving 94 percent on the season.
Napavine senior Olivia Alegria was named a first team libero. Alegria was named to the All-Area team and the All-League team after collecting 427 digs, 41 kills, 47 aces and an 87.4 serve percentage.
Onalaska junior Eryn Duryea was named an honorable mention outside hitter. Duryea was on the All-Area team and a first team all-league selection, she tallied 164 kills, 377 digs and a 92 serve percentage in the first 12 games of the season.
W.F. West senior Mak Moore was named to the second team as an outside hitter. Mak Moore was named to the All-Area volleyball team and was a first team All-EvCo selection. During league play this season, Moore had 132 kills, 25 aces and 123 digs.
