Friday’s Boys Basketball: Columbia River Rolls Over W.F. West

W.F. West struggled shooting from the field in Chehalis on Friday, falling to Columbia River 60-37 in a non-league boys basketball game.

The Bearcats shot just 29 percent from the field while Columbia River shot 48 percent.

Tyler Speck led W.F. West with 10 points. Caden Dezort led all scorers with 16 points and Nate Snook added 11 points for the Chieftains.

Columbia River held just a two point lead after one quarter, but held the Bearcats to four points in the second quarter for a 25-13 lead at halftime.

It was all Chieftains in the second half, outscoring W.F. West 35-24 to cruise to victory.

W.F. West (1-4) hosts R.A. Long on Monday in a non-league game.
