By The Chronicle

ROCHESTER — Alex Alvarenga notched a hat trick here Friday as Centralia cruised past Rochester, 8-2, in Evergreen 2A Conference boys soccer action.

Mario Silva also scored two goals for the Tigers, with Kibrom Tesfagergis and Jadon Grimes adding a goal apiece. Henry Martinez also scored for Centralia, on a free-kick set piece.

“We pretty much dictated the play on the field,” Centralia coach Phil Strodemier said. “This year the boys really connect with each other and they just have a real good feel about how each other’s playing.”

Centralia (3-3-1, 2-1 league) is off until April 9, when the Tigers host Tumwater. Rochester (3-5, 0-3 league) hosts W.F. West on the same night.
