Thursday’s Girls Tennis: Tenino Tops Three Rivers Christian

LONGVIEW — Tenino swept the doubles matches and won two out of three singles matches to earn a 4-1 win over Three Rivers Christian in a non-league girls tennis match here on Thursday.
Maddie Hohner picked up a win over Ally Cranes in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Courtney Dodge earned the win for the Beavers in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
In doubles, Ally Vestal and Kaylee Schow defeated their opponent, 6-1, 6-2 and Ximena Ontiveros and Krista Lira took down Jesse Tevis and Isabella Allen, 6-3, 6-1.
Vestal and Schow finish the season 9-0 and Lira and Ontiveros capped the season with a 7-2 record.
“All four doubles players are playing with confidence and trying new strategy,” Tenino coach Patti Blanford said.
Tenino ends the regular season 8-7 overall and 4-6 in Evergreen 1A League matches.
