By The Chronicle

Centralia’s Carissa Kaut won a three set battle, but she was the only Tiger to earn a win as Tumwater won 5-1 in an Evergreen 2A Conference girls tennis match at Borst Park in Centralia on Thursday.

Kaut won in the No. 1 singles match over Tumwater’s Courtney Borovec in three sets. Borovec won the first set 7-5, but Kaut battled back and came from behind down 5-2 in the second set to win the set 7-6. Gracie Wiley fell to Tumwater’s Kailey Hickey in the No. 2 singles match, 6-4, 6-0 and Evie Rooklidge fell in the No. 3 spot to Tumwater’s Leann White, 6-0, 6-4.
