Thursday’s Track & Field: Pe Ell’s Schulz Shines in Opening Meet

RAYMOND — Pe Ell’s Andrew Schulz won four events to start off the season at a Pacific 2B League track & Field meet here on Thursday.
Schulz won the 100 with a time of 11.73 seconds and the 200 with a time of 24.21. He claimed the title in the javelin with a toss of 131-01 and earned the long jump title with a leap of 20 feet, three inches.
Schulz wasn’t the only winner for Pe Ell, as Jeremiah Yost earned a pair of wins. Yost won the shot put with a throw of 43-07 and the discus with a toss of 121-05. Yost placed third in the javelin with a throw of 125-11.
Braeden McAllister won the 300 hurdles with a time of 45.61 and placed second in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.90. Dana Isham won the triple jump for the Trojans with a distance of 40-06.25.
Pe Ell competes next at the Rainier “Icebreaker” Invitational on Saturday.
