Tuesday’s 2A Softball: Rochester Cruises Past Orting

ROCHESTER — The Warriors prepared for the district tournament here on Wednesday with a 12-1 win over Orting in five innings in a non-league softball game.
Delaney Glazer pitched four innings in the circle, allowing two hits and no earned runs with seven strikeouts.
Lexie Trombley was 2 for 2 with an RBI and Glazer was 3 for 4 with two runs. Madison Bates was 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs for Rochester.
Rochester scored eight runs in the first inning to allow the Warriors to cruise the rest of the game to the win.
Rochester finished the season 11-9 overall and faces Woodland to open the District 4 2A softball tournament at 4 p.m. on Field 3 at Borst Park in Centralia. Rochester will play either the winner or loser of Hockinson-W.F. West at 6.
