Tuesday’s College Baseball: Blazers Earn First Conference Win Over Gators

LONGVIEW — Centralia’s Josh Myer pitched six solid innings to lead the Blazers to their first West Conference win in a 10-0 victory over Green River in a NWAC baseball game here on Tuesday.
Myer allowed five hits and one walk with four strikeouts. Rory Escuadro pitched the seventh and walked one and struck out one batter.
At the plate, Nole Wollan had a double, a run and three RBI and Blake Marker was 2-for-3 with a double, run and a RBI. Gavin Manheimer was 3-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBI.
Centralia scored two runs in the second and third inning and added a run in the fourth for a 5-0 lead. The Blazers opened the game up in the sixth, with Marker knocking in a run with a double and Wollan hitting a double with the bases loaded to bring home three runs. Manheimer hit a single to bring home Wollan and push the lead to the 10-0 final.
Centralia (6-18, 1-3) hosts Lower Columbia on Saturday at 1 p.m. for a doubleheader at Wheeler and travels to David Story Field on Sunday for another doubleheader against the Red Devils.
