Tuesday’s Prep Softball: Titans Sweep Fishermen to Claim League Title

PE ELL — Pe Ell-Willapa Valley earned two big wins against Ilwaco here on Tuesday to clinch the Pacific 2B League softball crown.
The Titans won Game 1 in three innings, 15-0. Kamryn Adkins pitched a complete game, striking out six of 10 total batters and allowing just one hit.
Britney Patrick was 2-for-2 with a double and a triple and Grace Hodel was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and five RBI. Jeorgi Ritzman added a double for the Titans.
PWV scored eight runs in the first inning and tallied two in the second inning followed by five runs in the third to end the game early.
PWV won Game 2 in three innings, 19-0. Olivia Matlock pitched a perfect game, striking out seven of the nine batters she faced.
Kamryn Adkins hit a triple and Katelyn McGough had a double and three RBI. Katie Adkins was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI and Patrick hit a triple.
PWV scored eight runs in the first inning, seven runs in the second inning and tallied four runs in the third to conclude the game.
It was senior night for the Titans, honoring Kamryn Akins, Grace Hodel, Morgan Coady and Ellie Little.
PWV (15-2, 12-0) travels to Hoquiam on Friday for a non-league game.
Pirates Swing Past Loggers
ONALASKA — Adna scored eight runs in the fourth inning to pull away for a 13-3 win in five innings over Onalaska in a Central 2B League softball game here on Tuesday.
Skye Snow pitched a complete game for the Pirates, allowing one hit, no earned runs and six walks while striking out four batters. She helped her own cause at the plate, hitting a double to go with four runs and a RBI.
Kooper Mohney was 2-for-2 with three RBI and a run and Ruby Bower had a hit and two runs. Emma Eko was 2-for-3 with a RBI for the Pirates.
Onalaska’s Adalee Sabin had the only hit and knocked in two runs.
Adna started the scoring in the second inning with two runs. The Pirates broke the game open with the big fourth inning and insured the win with three runs in the fifth inning.
“It was just kind of one those days,” Onalaska coach Rich Teitzel said.
Adna (17-1, 13-0) travels to Toledo for a C2BL game on Tuesday. Onalaska (12-5, 11-2) hosts Raymond on Thursday on senior night.
