Wednesday’s College Baseball: Centralia Falls to Grays Harbor

The Chokers had a big sixth inning to earn a 7-3 win over Centralia in a NWAC West Conference baseball game at Wheeler Field in Centralia on Wednesday.
Rory Escuadro started on the mound for the Blazers and allowed eight hits, one earned run and no walks with two strikeouts. Taite Hensley pitched 2 ⅔ innings in relief, allowing two hits, one earned run and one walk with two strikeouts.
At the plate, Colton Titus was 2-for-4 with a RBI and Nole Wollan was 2-for-5 with a RBI and a run. Gavin O’Donnell was 3-for-4 with a RBI for the Blazers.
Centralia scored one run in the third to open the scoring. The Chokers tied the game with a run in the fourth and took the lead with another run in the fifth. Grays Harbor plated five runs in the sixth inning to pull away for good.
Centralia (8-24, 3-9) travels to Tacoma at 1 p.m. for a conference doubleheader on Saturday.
