Wednesday’s Prep Softball: W.F. West Roughs Up Black Hills

TUMWATER — The Bearcats collected 17 hits while Kamy Dacus pitched a no-hitter in a 18-0 win in three innings over Black Hills in an Evergreen 2A Conference softball game on Wednesday.

At the plate, Taylor Barker hit a home run and Ava Fugate was 3-for-3. Ellie Bunker and Paetynn Lopez had three RBI each.

Paytton Crawford was 3-for-3 with two RBI and Noelle Roberts was 2-for-3 with two doubles.

The Bearcats plated eight runs in the first and nine runs in the second before the rain came and ended the game.

“It was a good day for us to come back out and swing the bats like we wanted to,” W.F. West coach Caty Lieseke said. “We were super disciplined and seeing good pitches and I was really happy with the game and our play.”

W.F. West (7-0, 2-0) is back in Tumwater on Friday to take on the Thunderbirds in an EvCo contest.
