Wednesday’s Prep Track & Field: Centralia Sweeps Team Titles at Spring Break Runner’s Classic

Centralia won the boys and girls team titles at the Spring Break Runner’s Classic track & field meet at Tiger Stadium in Centralia on Wednesday.

In girls action, Centralia’s Bailey Powell won the 100 with a time of 13.29 seconds and the 200 (28.50). Lucy Nowicki won the 400 (1:05.28) and Tawnee Craig won the 800 (2:44.47). Makayla Erickson won the 1600 (6:01.35) and the 3200 (14:25.68).

The 4×100 relay team of Nowicki, Anastasia Ulrigg, Rebekah Robbins and Powell won with a time of 53.29 seconds.

Adna and Onalaska were also at the meet, with the Pirates’ Faith Wellander winning the 100 hurdles (18.14) and the 300 hurdles (52.26). Hannah Bilodeau finished second in the 100 (14.04).

Onalaska’s Michaela Wagoner finished fifth in the 1600 (7:31.35) and sixth in the 800 (3:23.41).

On the boys side, Centralia’s Cameron Lawson won the 200 (24.40). Ben Corwin won the 800 (2:20.92) and Rudy Voetberg won the 1600 (5:01.96) and the 3200 (10:32.36).

The Tigers 4×100 relay team of Gabe Chapin, Sha’Ron Settles, Fabien Malloy and Cameron Moore won with a time of 48.10 seconds.

Adna’s Brady Collins won the 100 (11.57) and the 400 (53.92). Willy Ames won the 110 hurdles (16.44) and the 4×400 relay team of Tristan Ridley, Zander Blankenship, Lucas Ashley and Jarod Keys won with a time of 3:51.66.

Onalaska’s Jacob Russon won the 300 hurdles (45.91). Jedidiah Wagoner finished second in the 800 (2:28.32) and fourth in the 1600 (5:29.49) and Devon Wright earned sixth in the 3200 (13:04.73).

Centralia is back in action next Saturday at the Willamette Falls Invitational in Oregon City. Adna travels to a Central 2B League in Rainier next Thursday and Onalaska is at Mossyrock next Thursday in a C2BL meet.
