Wednesday’s Women’s College Soccer: Centralia Ends Season With Win Against Green River

The Blazers wrapped up their season in winning fashion, earning a 3-1 victory against Green River in a NWAC West Region women’s soccer game at Tiger Stadium in Centralia on Wednesday.

Centralia’s Haylee Ward scored the first goal of the night unassisted in the 19th minute. Nevaeh Taylor scored unassisted in the 40th minute for a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Taylor tallied her second goal of the game in the 74th minute on an assist by Chloe Narolski. Green River’s Allison Schacher ruined the clean sheet for the Blazers with an unassisted goal in the 84th minute.

The Blazers outshot the Gators, 13-5. Centralia goalkeeper Bethany Dinh made two saves in the win.

Centralia ends the regular season 9-8-1 and 8-6 in west region games, finishing fourth and just outside the playoff picture.
